2011年4月1日付で発表されたFDIにより、従来より進出障害のひとつであった2005年Press Notes No1に規定されていた内容が撤廃となりました。これにより、2005年1月12日以前よりインドに進出もしくは技術移転契約等が存在したため同一分野への新たな投資にはFIPB（Foreign Investment Promotion Board）の個別承認が必要だったのが不要となりました。よって、この規定により従来の提携インド人Partnerの存在に縛られることなく日系企業に有利なスキームを策定して今後のインドビジネスの展開を図れることになりました。
